Kongo River Sunset Excursion from Diani Afternoon to Sunset (Approximately 2–3 Hour)
4:00 PM – Hotel/Residence Pickup
Pick-up from your hotel or residence in Diani and drive towards the Kongo River by an Electric Tuktuk.
4:30 PM – Arrival at Kongo River & Kongo Mosque
Meet your local guide and enjoy a brief introduction to the area. Visit the historic Kongo Mosque and learn about its cultural and historical significance.
5:00 PM – Traditional Canoe Ride
Board a traditional, non-motorized canoe and begin your peaceful journey along the Kongo River. Cruise through mangroves and palm-lined waterways while your local guide explains the ecosystem and points out birds and other wildlife.
5:30 PM – Mangrove & Birdwatching Experience
Slow down and enjoy the tranquility of the river. Keep an eye out for different bird species, fish and other small wildlife while learning about the importance of the mangrove ecosystem.
