Great Rift Valley Lake Experience Boat safari, hippos, and walking with wildlife
07:00: Pickup from your Nairobi hotel.
07:00-09:00: Scenic drive to Lake Naivasha (90km northwest of Nairobi). Pass through Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photo stop of the dramatic escarpment.
Lake Naivasha Boat Safari (09:30-10:30)
Board motorboat for one-hour lake safari:
- Hippo Watching: Spot hippo pods wallowing in shallow waters. Your boat captain will safely position for great photos (hippos surface every 3-5 minutes)
- Birdlife: African fish eagles calling, pelicans fishing, cormorants drying wings, kingfishers diving, herons stalking prey
- Monitor Lizards: Large Nile monitor lizards basking on lake shore
- Lake Island: View Crescent Island wildlife from boat before landing
Crescent Island Walking Safari (10:45-12:30)
Disembark and walk freely among wildlife - no predators on this private island sanctuary:
- Walk alongside giraffes munching acacia trees
- Zebras grazing peacefully mere meters away
- Wildebeest herds crossing your path
- Graceful waterbucks and impalas
- Warthogs trotting with tails up like antennas

Lunch (13:00-14:00)
Lunch at lakeside restaurant with views over the water. Watch fish eagles and enjoy fresh tilapia or international menu.
Optional Addition (14:00-16:00)
If time and interest allow: Quick visit to Hell's Gate National Park (famous for rock climbing, cycling, and gorge hiking) or Elsamere Conservation Centre (Joy Adamson's former home).
16:00-17:00: Return drive to Nairobi, arriving early evening.
