Day 1: Coast → Taita Salt Lick Mastery Coastal Escape to the Taita Hills
06:00 – 10:00: Early pickup from your coastal hotel. Enjoy a scenic drive inland as the landscape shifts from tropical palm trees to the dramatic volcanic hills of Taita-Taveta.
10:00 – 12:30: Enter the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Begin your first game drive, navigating the rugged terrain.
13:00 – 14:30: Check-in and lunch at the world-famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge. The lodge is built on stilts above a natural waterhole.
15:30 – 18:30: Afternoon game drive in the sanctuary. As the sun sets behind the hills, witness the wildlife return to the waterholes.
19:00: Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Taita → Amboseli Ascent The Transition to Kili’s Shadow
06:30 – 08:30:Final morning game drive in the Taita Hills. The morning light on the volcanic ridges is spectacular.
08:30 – 12:30: Breakfast and departure for Amboseli National Park. This drive takes you through diverse landscapes, crossing from the hills into the open savannah basin.
12:30 – 14:00: Arrival in Amboseli. Check into your lodge/camp and enjoy a well-deserved hot lunch.
15:00 – 18:00: Afternoon game drive in Amboseli. This is prime time to capture elephants against the clear, snow-capped backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
18:30: Dinner and overnight at an Amboseli lodge or tented camp.
Day 3: Amboseli → Coast The Golden Hour & Return to the Coast
06:00 – 08:00: Sunrise game drive. The mountain is most visible at dawn, providing a stunning silhouette for photography.
08:30 – 09:30: Breakfast at the lodge and check-out.
09:30 – 12:30: Mid-morning game drive as you exit the park, scanning the marshes for hippo and waterbirds.
12:30 – 17:30: The return journey to the coast. We stop for a picnic lunch along the route.
17:30: Expected arrival back at your coastal hotel, closing out your 3-day bush adventure.
