Tour Details
3 Days Tsavo East & Ziwani Safari
Begin your adventure in the legendary Tsavo East National Park, Africa's largest national park and home to the iconic red-dust elephants, the mighty Galana River,Aruba Dam, the dramatic Lugard Falls, and some of the most vast and sweeping open savanna landscapes on the continent. Then journey deeper into the wilderness to the hidden gem of Ziwani, a remote, exclusive, and breathtakingly beautiful conservancy nestled along the Sio River on the edge of Tsavo West, where big cats roam freely, hippos patrol the riverbanks, and the absence of crowds makes every single wildlife encounter feel like your own private discovery.
Safari Highlights:
- Tsavo East’s "Red Giants": Witness the famous red-dusted elephant herds of Tsavo East against a backdrop of vast, untamed wilderness.
- The Sante River Sanctuary: Enjoy a secluded experience in a 30,000-acre private sanctuary that is home to hippos, crocodiles, and prolific birdlife.
- Night Game Drives: Unlike National Parks where the gates close at sunset, Ziwani allows you to head out after dark with a spotlight to track leopards, aardvarks, and other nocturnal wonders.
- Guided Bush Walks: Step out of the vehicle and into the riverbank ecosystems with a resident naturalist to learn the "small details" of the bush.
- Hippo River Sundowners: Watching hippos emerge from the Sio River at dusk as the sky turns amber and gold above the tree line.
- Crowd Free Safari Experience: Enjoy a completely crowd-free safari experience in one of Kenya's least visited and most rewarding wilderness areas.
- Bird species: Discover over 500 bird species including rare and endemic species found only in this corridor.
- Aruba Dam Stakeout: Spend time at this iconic waterhole in Tsavo East, which acts as a primary magnet for wildlife, perfect for photography.
