Day 1: Coast to Tsavo East The Red Wilderness & The "Great Dam" Stakeout
05:30:Your journey begins as you leave the coast behind for the iron-rich, red-soiled plains of Tsavo East.
09:30: Enter the park through Bachuma Gate. Your first game drive begins immediately; keep your eyes peeled for lion, buffalo, and the park’s famous "red elephants."
13:00: Arrive at Aruba Dam for a scenic lunch. This is the heart of the park's wildlife activity, offering a front-row seat to crocodiles and thirsty game herds.
14:30: Spend the afternoon exploring the Yatta Plateau, a vast lava flow offering sweeping views and unique wildlife like the long-necked gerenuk.
18:30: Check into your safari lodge within Tsavo East for dinner and a well-deserved rest under the vast African sky
Day 2: Tsavo East to Salt Lick The Stilt Lodge Experience
06:30: Sunrise game drive. This is the prime hour for predator activity before the heat of the day sets in.
08:30: Return to your lodge for a full breakfast and check-out.
10:30: Begin the short, scenic drive toward the Taita Hills. The landscape transforms from flat savannah to volcanic ridges.
13:00: Arrive at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Check in and enjoy a hot lunch while watching the elephants and zebras wander directly beneath the lodge’s stilt-supported walkways.
15:30: Afternoon game drive in the private sanctuary. Because this is a private reserve, you can explore the rugged terrain with more privacy than in the main parks.
19:00: Return to the lodge for dinner. The waterhole is illuminated at night, meaning the wildlife show continues while you dine.
Day 3: Salt Lick Return to Coast The Sanctuary Finale & Return to the Coast
06:30: Early morning game drive in the sanctuary. The morning light on the volcanic ridges provides stunning photographic opportunities.
08:30: Breakfast at the lodge, overlooking the waterhole one last time.
10:30: Check out and begin the return journey to the coast.
13:00: We will stop for a picnic lunch on the route to break up the drive.
17:00: Expected arrival back at your coastal hotel, closing out your bush adventure.
